Apple Orchard

We visited our first apple orchard with Maeve yesterday. It was a very un-fall like day with the temperature at 80 degrees, but Mom loves that weather so we made sure to get out and enjoy one of the last few "nice" days! Maeve was a little tired for the pictures since it was right after a short cat nap but enjoyed exploring new textures likes grass and hay. We bought some apples, apple pie, and apple cider so we should be all set for a little while!

Enjoy the pictures!

Crazy Hair

People keep commenting on the crazy hair. I think Maeve gets it from her momma!

10 Months

Maeve outgrew the photo prop. She won't lie down on the rug next to her frame like she used to. Imagine that!! We'll try again tomorrow when dad's home.

1st Swim Lesson

Maeve had her 1st swim lesson today! She is in the Baby Backfloat 1 class. She enjoyed singing songs and splashing in the water. She didn't enjoy getting dunked in the water so we'll try that again next week!

Labor Day trip

We're back home from our trip! We had such a great time. The last few days we explored more of Portland and Kennebunkport, Maine and stayed overnight in Portsmouth, NE before departing this afternoon.

Maeve's favorite things to do on the trip: wave "hi" and "bye" to everyone, make silly noises like she is at a rock concert, take short cat naps so she doesn't miss any activities, eat grilled cheese, play with straws, and drink from her sippy cup. It was fun to spend 6 days with her and see her personality come out even more on the trip. She was a great traveler and we're looking forward to many more trips in the future.

We really enjoyed Portland and Kennebunkport the most. We loved our dinner at Street & Co. in Portland and Alisson's in Kennebunkport. Clams, mussels, and lobster were delicious. Eric loved seeing the Bush complex in Kennebunkport and even spotted Barbara Bush out walking her dogs. See the last picture for the proof.

Thanks New England! We had a great time.
