New Orleans 2020

We spent President's Day weekend in New Orleans. Luckily it was the week before Mardi Gras so we caught some parades, had delicious crawfish for early season, and enjoyed a break from the cold.

I loved visiting friends and Mardi Gras was even more fun with kids - definitely had a great time eating, catching up with friends, and seeing the parades.

Maeve's favorite thing was crawfish and the parades. She just loved the whole thing! She got some great toys off the floats and we had to pack a whole suitcase full of stuff. She also enjoyed dancing to the bands.

Cecilia's favorite thing was the king cake and she even got the baby! She loved being outside at the parades, playing at the park, and swiping the key card to the hotel room (always have to have something that you love about staying in the hotel).

Kyle's first trip to New Orleans was a success. No one was (too) sick. Only had to bring meds for Cecilia and Maeve who were getting over strep. He didn't sleep that well but he was a happy boy during the day. His favorite thing was the beignets!

Jessica taught Maeve how to peel the tails and suck the heads.

She is truly a NOLA girl

Maeve's 100th Day of Kindergarten

Maeve celebrated 100 days of Kindergarten today! She made her shirt a few weeks ago and was so excited to show off her gumball machine made with 100 pom poms and a quarter from the play register.

She is also doing a great job reading these days. She is "tapping out" the words and very interested in reading all of the time. We're so proud of her.
