Kyle's smile

Took this picture today of Kyle's cute smile!

We had been attempting to get a few pics for a week or so.

We're also enjoying his "talking" and cooing too!

Kyle's Baby Announcement

You should have all received your baby announcement by now!

Thank you, Anne, for taking the pictures and Grandma Jan and Grandpa Steve for the house :)

Kyle’s 1st month at home

We were so lucky to have live-in help for the first 5 weeks! We didn’t get out much but I did get several things done with the help of Aunt Anne, Grandma Brigid and Grandpa Ed like: taking pictures and mailing announcements, organizing clothes, hanging picture frames and ordering new pictures, and scanning baby cards to organize for Kyle’s baby book. Mom and I also finished two seasons of ‘The Crown!’

Now comes the reality of cooking, doing dishes and doing laundry all in between Kyle’s naps and entertaining the girls! So much for getting much more done while I'm on leave :)

Valentine's Day 2019

Happy Valentine's Day! Maeve handed out Mermaid and Rocket Valentine's Day cards and Cecilia gave out Vampirina cards. They had fun at their school party and receiving fun toys from their classmates.

Kyle is 1 month old

Kyle has had a great first month. We’re enjoying time with him and have been hibernating since it’s been mostly cold and snowy since he was born. We did get out to a few outings - a restaurant when Aunt Anne, Grandma Brigid and Grandpa Ed were in town and to the mall to shop for some new clothes (since he’s out of newborn clothes already).

We’ve had some fun photo sessions as you’ll see in the pics below (mostly taken by Anne) and introduced him to several family members.

He is a good baby and pretty easy going. He’s been mostly getting up only once a night. We hope that continues and eventually gets to sleeping through the night. It makes it easier to deal with a toddler and 5 year old when we get more sleep at night.

Cecilia and Maeve are great big sisters. Maeve has done it before and Cecilia is loving the new role. She always is concerned when her brother is crying and “you can feed him, Mom” and “him is looking at me” and “him opening him eyes” (we’re still working on the right use of pronouns!) It's so sweet to see how much they love baby Kyle!

We’re also continuing to work on the bottle. He’s taking it better than his sisters and we hope that continues.

Here are a few of my favorites from his first month of life!
