Christmas Cookies

We went to Grandma Jan and Grandpa Steve's house to bake Christmas cookies for Santa this year. We loved making and decorating the sugar cookies and the gingerbread cookies were also delicious. We may have to add this to the Christmas traditions!

Christmas Traditions

We went to Cecilia's classroom last week to share our family Christmas traditions. Grandma Brigid and Grandpa Ed were still in town and we all enjoyed sharing with the 2.5 year olds. They liked seeing the gingerbread house, hearing stories of the Christmas Village, and hearing 'Little Blue Truck and the Christmas Tree' (as I didn't want to bring the ornaments that we get when we travel which was the 3rd tradition that we have).

Santa visits

We had multiple visits to Santa this year at several fun events. First we saw Santa and Mrs. Claus at Gerten's where we buy or tree tops for outside. Cecilia was hiding at first but warmed up to him after we waited in line for 45 minutes. Santa said Maeve was a great big sister and that she'd be a big sister again and he knew she'd do a great job. And since Maeve wants a barbie dream house and Cecilia wants a puppy dog, he reminded them that he knows of all kinds of things that they may want and it may not be those things!

We also saw Santa at their school and they asked again for a Barbie dream house and a Barbie camper. They took some great pictures there and also got to see the Elf and mail letters to Santa.

And for the 5 year olds that have known each other since they were 6 weeks old, we went out with the New Mom's group and enjoy Cookies and Cocktails with Santa Vern. We also got really cool face painting! That was a fun event and the pictures were a success again.

Thanksgiving 2018

We've been so busy these past few weekends that we forgot to post our Thanksgiving pictures. We had a great time at Grandma Jan and Grandpa Steve's house. We enjoyed delicious food and hanging out with our cousins, Will and Lia. We made the corn casserole and sage stuffing - which is always a favorite!
