Summer sports

 We had a summer filled with a lot of softball for Maeve! She had a great season playing catcher, attending the MN Select softball game, the state tournament and the national tournament. We really enjoyed watching her be a leader on the team and enjoying her time!

Cecilia liked her soccer team, although some tough games and rain cancellations made for a short season. She enjoyed a few games of softball too when soccer didn't conflict.

Kyle enjoyed baseball and we liked seeing how much growth all of the kids had in their sports!

Chicago

 We had a great time in the Windy City - beautiful weather and fun activities. We took to the road trip this year since it was expensive to fly and that gave us a chance to stop by Madison on the way home and visit cousins Brian, Robin, Anders and William and swim in their club pool - a fun stop to break up the drive!

Each kid enjoyed a different museum - Maeve - the Shedd Aquarium, Cecilia - the Field Museum, and Kyle - the Planetarium. Eric and I enjoyed shopping at Eatly, going to the Cubs game, and going to the museums. We had a quick trip to a Slime Museum and the kids enjoyed that & we had great food, including Maeve's first seafood tower!

The only disappointing thing was driving by the Home Alone house - it was in bad condition. But the drive up there from the city was very pretty along Lakeshore drive.
