Fall break to the Bourbon trail

 We explored Kentucky and West Virginia- flying in and out of Cincinnati - a trip that Eric has been waiting to do for a long time. While he wasn't able to have a boy's trip to go to the Bourbon trail, we decided to go over our fall break since the kids hadn't been to those states and Eric needed to check off his 50th state.

Highlights included:

• Louisville Slugger museum
• Mammoth Cave national park
• Distilleries for Eric - including Maker's Mark and dipping the red wax, Bourbon trace, Woodford Reserve, Castle & Key, and Augusta where the kids were able to fill a bottle of bourbon from the barrel
• Cincinnati zoo - cheetah show, the hippos, the red pandas climbing trees, and the trick-or-treating

Niagara Falls and Finger lakes

 We enjoyed our time in the Finger lakes wine region and seeing Niagara falls - both from the US side and then a walk over the bridge to have lunch and enjoy the views and the cute town on the Canadian side. We did the Maid of Mist tour as well. In Geneva, we toured Konstantin Frank which we enjoyed since we have had their wine from Sip Better. We also liked Red Tail Ridge and Weis Vineyards and shipped some wine home. 

School year 2026-2027

 Another school year has started! 5th, 2nd, and 7th, grade. Excited for a fun year ahead.
