A great extended time at the cabin this year for the 4th. Stayed up late for fireworks (the day after the 4th since it rained on the holiday), pizza at Zorbaz, swimming in the lake, cooking, baking, skiing, and time with cousins!

Kyle off training wheels
Kyle officially started riding his bike without training wheels in mid June and is having a great time riding all around! He has done 2 different biking excursions in Glendalough state park with about 5 miles each time!

Father's Day
Father's day fun included dinner out with Steve and winner winner of $200 on pull tabs. Then dinner at home with a homemade berry lattice pie and chicken pot pie. Also set up the new volleyball net (all on my own without Eric's help - just the kids!), Church, and the new movie projector outside!
France
What a great trip to Paris and Normandy with Anne and cousins Elizabeth, Laura, Kate and Isabel to celebrate 50th wedding anniversary for Brigid and Ed and Uncle Michael and Aunt Cathy.
We enjoyed time together, exploring the city of Bayeaux and Honfluer and a tour of the D-day beaches. The small towns were idyllic and not crowded. We were there a few days before D-day so were able to see some of the memorials and events happening. Near the airborne museum, we even saw re-enactments and soldiers and felt like we stepped back into WW2.
In Paris, we enjoyed all of the highlights, including seeing Notre Dame again, going to the 2nd floor of the Eiffel tower (except for Ed), Saint Chapelle, and city tours with Anne Marie of Montemartre, Parliament, and the library and university (as the Louvre workers were on strike). We shopped some and ate a lot of croissants and baguettes and I tried escargot. The andoullette in Normandy, however, was not tasty.
We also had a day trip to Giverny to see Monet's garden and that was beautiful.
It was a great trip with good accommodations and food and transportation and of course the company!
